Bolt Voltage and the Eight Nights of Light

Bolt Voltage and the Eight Nights of Light

Sometimes learning something new starts with a question.

Bolt Voltage is a robot who loves to explore. He looks at the world closely. He notices things others might pass by. When Bolt finds something he does not understand, he does not ignore it. He learns about it.

That is how this story begins.

In Bolt Voltage and the Eight Nights of Light, Bolt discovers a menorah and begins learning about Hanukkah, a holiday also known as the Festival of Lights. This story is about curiosity, kindness, and learning something new with respect.

Learning Something New Is a Good Thing

Bolt did not grow up knowing about Hanukkah. He had never seen a menorah before. He did not know what the Star of David meant. Instead of guessing, Bolt asked questions. He watched. He listened. He learned.

That is something we can all do.

Kids today grow up with tablets, phones, computers, and games. Information moves fast. Sometimes it feels like you have to already know everything. But learning does not work that way. It is okay to be new. It is okay to ask questions. It is okay to learn slowly.

Bolt shows us that being curious is a strength.

What Bolt Learns About Hanukkah

As Bolt explores, he learns the story of Hanukkah. Long ago, a temple was damaged and needed to be fixed. When the people were ready to light the temple lamp, they found only a small amount of oil. The oil should have lasted one night, but it lasted for eight nights instead.

This became known as the miracle of Hanukkah.

People remember this miracle by lighting candles each night. The lights remind them of hope, courage, and not giving up, even when things are hard.

Bolt learns that Hanukkah is not just about candles. It is about remembering light during dark times.

Why This Story Is a Coloring Book

This story is told through black-and-white coloring book pages. That means you get to be part of the story. You choose the colors. You decide how the world looks. You can slow down, take your time, and think while you color.

Coloring helps your brain relax. It helps you focus. It helps ideas stick. That is why this story is not rushed. Each page shows one moment of Bolt learning and understanding more.

This book is made for kids who love stories, kids who love art, and kids who like using their imagination.

A Story Made With Respect

I want to share something important. I did not grow up celebrating Hanukkah. This story was created by learning, listening, and being respectful. It was inspired by my wife’s family, who celebrate Hanukkah and believed in Bolt Voltage when the first book was being made.

They supported the project when it was just an idea. They helped me understand how meaningful this holiday is. This story was created to honor that trust.

Bolt does not take the holiday and make it his own. He learns about it. He respects it. He remembers it.

Why Inclusion Matters Here

Bolt Voltage is for everyone.

This story is for kids who celebrate Hanukkah and kids who do not. It is for kids who love robots, kids who love stories, and kids who like learning how the world works. It is for families who want to talk about different traditions in a kind way.

Learning about something new does not mean changing who you are. It means understanding each other better.

That is what inclusion looks like.
